CAS & Associates, LLC (CAS) is an environmental engineering and consulting firm, based in Boise Idaho, specializes in Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). CAS has been providing professional environmental services to industrial, municipal and construction clients for over the past thirty years throughout Idaho.
CAS has completed ESAs by experienced staff and all are directed by environmental professionals with over 30 years of experience in Idaho. Our projects are very cost-effective because we are a small employee-owned company and we do not have the large overhead and expenses of a large environmental company. Our average turnaround on our Phase I ESAs is within ten to fifteen Business days.
CASs staff consist of a Professional Engineer and a Geologist that have completed multi-site projects in Idaho with very short due dates. We take pride in the fact that we can provide quality Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) reports for less cost than our competition.
The main objective of CAS's ESA reports are to provide an objective and professional judgment of recognized environmental conditions (RECs) to the extent feasible pursuant & prescribed within ASTM Standards.

In general, the scope of services for a Phase I ESA includes an evaluation of the following:

Physical characteristics of the Subject Property based on a review of referenced sources such as topographic maps and available geologic, soils and hydrologic reports.

Information of properties, with the specified minimum search distances from the Subject Property, available in the agency databases and in local environmental records.

Current and past uses of on and off-site conditions and surrounding areas through an evaluation of historical sources such as aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, interviews, and prior reports.

Asbestos and lead-based paint containing materials screening, consisting of a review of available analytical data, the age of the improvements, dates of renovation, and other relevant information.
